We walked in like pioneers of the obvious, marveling at every outdated thing as if we’d discovered it for the first time. “Hear this sound, So retro!” we said, not realizing it was just old. We poked at dusty songs, trying to figure out which one would move us, and somehow set off an alarm that no one remembered installing.
