ABICAN  – Performance at Kolektiv

The Land That Forgot to Drift to Its Songs is a performance by artist Can Etterlin aka Abican, a (sound) artist and performer from Türkiye and Switzerland. His practice revolves around the themes of belonging, identity, and transformation. Together with his car, he tells and performs a fairytale inspired by their travels through Türkiye, Georgia, and Armenia.

Somewhere between dusk and dawn — along winding mountain roads, dusty winds, military checkpoints, shepherd trails, wedding dances, ruins, caves, narrow city streets, and restless metropoles — Can and his car continue their journey towards the truth, memory, past, resistance, and future of the land that forgot to drift to its songs.

“The Land That Forgot to Drift to Its Songs” është një performancë e artistit Can Etterlin, i njohur si Abican — një artist sonor dhe performer nga Turqia dhe Zvicra. Praktika e tij sillet rreth temave të përkatësisë, identitetit dhe transformimit. Bashkë me makinën e tij, ai tregon dhe performon një përrallë të frymëzuar nga udhëtimet e tyre nëpër Turqi, Gjeorgji dhe Armeni.

Diku mes perëndimit dhe agimit — përgjatë rrugëve malore dredhëzore, erërave pluhur, pikave të kontrollit ushtarak, shtigjeve të barijve, valleve të dasmave, rrënojave, shpellave, rrugëve të ngushta të qyteteve dhe metropoleve të shqetësuara — Can dhe makina e tij vazhdojnë udhëtimin drejt së vërtetës, kujtesës, së kaluarës, rezistencës dhe të ardhmes së tokës që harroi të lundrojë drejt këngëve të veta.
