Angine de Poitrine is a duo from Quebec, Canada. The two musicians wear big paper-mâché masks and polka-dot outfits while playing complex instrumental rock. They mix math-rock rhythms with hypnotic grooves, microtonal guitar sounds, polyrhythmic loops, and microtonal experimentation. Their unique style has been described as “mantra-rock Dada Pythago-Cubiste” space-time voyagers with influences from experimental, zeuhl prog and avant-garde outliers while carving out something utterly original: dancefloor-ready chaos that rewards close listening.

Released on April 3, 2026, their new album Vol. II is a six-track work following their debut album in 2024. It features energetic tracks such as “Fabienk,” “Mata Zyklek,” and “Sarniezz.” The music incorporates looping effects, flexible drums, and sharp guitar riffs, resulting in intense yet catchy songs in just under 37 minutes.
