Episode 6: In places where my body is usually located is part of Anouk Albrecht’s ongoing nomadic performance series, presented across different countries and adapted to each site.

The performance explores the relationship between the body, physical space and radio transmission. Built around fragile, self-made radio microphones and their unreliable ability to transmit sound, the work treats failure not as a technical problem, but as a choreographic condition.

Working with a small pirate radio system with a transmission radius of approximately 25 metres, the performer moves between physical space and the radio field, continuously attempting to establish, maintain and recover a connection as it breaks apart. Voices, music, news and advertisements from the surrounding radio spectrum enter the performance, shifting its context and sometimes interrupting or overtaking the performer.

Through this unstable communication system, Episode 6 considers presence, exposure, repetition and self-preservation, asking what happens when connection is never fully guaranteed.

About the artist

Anouk Albrecht is an interdisciplinary artist based between Nuremberg and Amsterdam. Her practice works across installation, sculpture, video, text and sound, exploring the conditions through which bodies come into presence.

She is completed her studies at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie and completing at the Academy of Fine Arts Nuremberg. For several years, she was a member of the sound collective Dynamic Acoustic Research, which explores space through sound and collective forms of listening.

Her work approaches art as a relational and unstable process, with a particular interest in the tension between persistence and failure, and in the moment when performance begins to lose its sovereignty.

Episodi 6: Në vendet ku zakonisht ndodhet trupi im është pjesë e serisë nomade të performancave të Anouk Albrecht, e cila paraqitet në vende të ndryshme dhe përshtatet me çdo hapësirë.

Performanca eksploron marrëdhënien midis trupit, hapësirës fizike dhe transmetimit radiofonik. Ndërtuar rreth mikrofonave të radios të brishtë, të vetëbërë dhe aftësisë së tyre të pasigurt për të transmetuar zërin, vepra e trajton dështimin jo si një problem teknik, por si një kusht koreografik.

Duke punuar me një sistem të vogël radiopirat me një rreze transmetimi prej afërsisht 25 metrash, performuesja lëviz midis hapësirës fizike dhe fushës radiofonike, duke u përpjekur vazhdimisht të krijojë, ruajë dhe rimëkëmbë një lidhje ndërsa ajo shkatërrohet. Zërat, muzika, lajmet dhe reklamat nga spektri rrethues i radios hyjnë në performancë, duke ndryshuar kontekstin e saj dhe ndonjëherë duke ndërprerë ose pushtuar performuesen.

Përmes këtij sistemi komunikimi të paqëndrueshëm, Episodi 6 shqyrton praninë, ekspozimin, përsëritjen dhe vetëmbrojtjen, duke pyetur se çfarë ndodh kur lidhja nuk është kurrë plotësisht e garantuar.

Rreth artistes

Anouk Albrecht është një artiste ndërdisiplinore me bazë midis Nurembergut dhe Amsterdamit. Praktika e saj shtrihet në instalacion, skulpturë, video, tekst dhe tingull, duke eksploruar kushtet përmes të cilave trupat vijnë në prani.

Ajo ka përfunduar studimet e saj në Gerrit Rietveld Academie dhe po i përfundon ato në Akademinë e Arteve të Bukura në Nuremberg. Për disa vjet, ajo ka qenë anëtare e kolektivit të zërit Dynamic Acoustic Research, i cili eksploron hapësirën përmes tingullit dhe formave kolektive të dëgjimit.

Vepra e saj i afrohet artit si një proces relacional dhe i paqëndrueshëm, me një interes të veçantë për tensionin midis këmbënguljes dhe dështimit, dhe në momentin kur performanca fillon të humbasë sovranitetin e saj.
