mal po mal are one of the most active Slovenian alternative music groups, operating between post-punk, noise, and improvisational music, drawing on the regional underground, electronic music, and free jazz. Known for their atmospheric, high-energy live shows, packed with detail and intention.

Formed in spring 2023, when Matic Flajs, Luka Demšar, Jakob Padevski, and Jan Robek first started jamming in a bomb shelter. They debuted on April 13, 2024, at Channel 0 (Metelkova) for a sold-out show alongside Lufthansa and Xarakiri. Since then they’ve played regularly across Slovenian stages — from MKNŽ Ilirska Bistrica with Vagina Corporation, to their biggest show yet at sold-out Kino Šiška with Irish giants Fontaines D.C., to a recent set at Gromka as part of MENT showcase festival.

They’ve released one full-length album, “eeeepppeppeeepepeppppppeeepepeepepepeepppepepepepepepepppee” (2024), and toured the Balkans in both 2024 and 2025 alongside Čao Portorož.

They’re now working on their second project — catch them live before that drops!

mal po mal janë një nga grupet më aktive të muzikës alternative sllovene, që lëvizin mes post-punk, noise dhe muzikës improvizuese, të frymëzuar nga underground-i rajonal, muzika elektronike dhe free jazz. Njihen për performancat live plot atmosferë dhe energji, ku çdo detaj është menduar me kujdes.

Grupi u formua në pranverën e 2023, kur Matic Flajs, Luka Demšar, Jakob Padevski dhe Jan Robek filluan të bashkoheshin në një bunker. Debutuan më 13 prill 2024 në klubin Channel 0 (Metelkova), në një event të shitur plot, krah bandave Lufthansa dhe Xarakiri. Që atëherë kanë luajtur rregullisht në skena sllovene — nga MKNŽ Ilirska Bistrica me Vagina Corporation, te koncerti më i madh deri tani në Kino Šiška krah irlandezëve Fontaines D.C., e deri te festivali MENT në Gromka.

Kanë nxjerrë një album të plotë, “eeeepppeppeeepepeppppppeeepepeepepepeepppepepepepepepepppee” (2024), dhe kanë bërë turne nëpër Ballkan në 2024 dhe 2025 së bashku me Čao Portorož.
